Colleen Green is a girl from Oakland who makes wonderful, simple, catchy little lo-fi garage gems. The fact that she covers M+Ms by Blink-182 is more than reason enough to download her stuff.

Pure Ecstasy-Future Nostalgia 7" and Easy 7"
Pure Ecstasy presents yet another reason for me to daydream about Texas. The Austin three piece makes dreamy lo-fi pop, that almost sounds like it was recorded in the bottom of a well, but that's half the charm, and trust me there's plenty to go around here. There's a sort of surfy jangle-pop feeling to their stuff that'll leave you all warm and fuzzy inside. This will probably be in heavy rotation on my iPod for a quick minute. Enjoy.

NOse Bleed Island Mega Post!!!
Well, it's been well over a month since I've even looked at this thing and I have no idea why. I've relocated to Portland, and it's been great thus far.
The only people I seem to hang out with here are all originally from Vermont, and one of them turned me on to this bizarre, wonderful little gem of a band called NOse Bleed Island. I really don't know much about them, aside from what I've been told and what I've found online. But what I do know, I absolutely love.
Members of the band include Joey Pizza Slice, who I've heard is some sort of weirdo with filthy hair who does little aside from eat pizza in downtown Burlington and make strange catchy songs about Dracula, beating up Nazis, and being in love. Also rouding out the line-up is an 11 year old boy who often times can't actually play live because he has to go to bed.at a reasonable hour for an 11 year old.

They've got two records out on Bunny Huang Records, "silly sad circuits DEAD BABY in a jar", released in 2006, and "more tales from the Blood island", which was released the following year under the name NOse Bleed Island and the Blood Island Society.
Both of these albums are probably the best things I've heard in a god damn while. They're these sort of amazingly goofy, catchy, campy, lighthearted, lo-fi opuses, that will have you tapping your toes, scratching your head, and singing them to yourself for weeks after you first listen.
Also, here's a few videos they've made. Fucking genius.

New track:St. Mawr-Retrospective
The more I hear of San Francisco's St. Mawr, the more I like them. A while back a video was posted of them playing a new song not available on their first release. I finally got around to ripping the audio, and here it is.

Molly Shannon, Molly Shannon- YOU THINK YR THE DOCTOR, I THINK I'M THE SHERIFF
Well, I'm an idiot. Turns out the other MoSha MoSha release was still up for download for free on the band's last.fm page. I'm still listning to it as I'm typing this up and it's just as good as the last one I posted. It sounds little bit more put together, a bit more amped up on some songs, not as spread out as if/ P/ ~P, and at times sounds quite a bit like vintage Modest Mouse.

Molly Shannon, Molly Shannon-If / P / ~P
This band is hard to get info on. Their website and Myspace have both been deleted and I can't find a copy of thier other album "You Think Yr the Doctor, I think I'm the Sheriff" anywhere which is a shame because I really want more of this stuff. This album though, is 3 discs of untitled weirdness, and inspiring clumsiness. I can't stop listening to it. I have a feeling this is going to be the "Heart Full of Sorrow" of the first bit of 2010 for me. If I ever do find a link for their other release, which i really hope I can, I'll be sure to post it.
Also, just to let you know, this is what MoSha MoSha look like:
